I've been looking for you stranger I've been looking for you friend I've been wandering the streets In my dreams again I've been breathing in the same air I'll been breathing out, and still If the loneliness don't kill me Then the good times surely will I've been keeping good company Tanqueray, El Jimador Singing all the saddest love songs That ever came before I could drink myself to Sunday It's my only cheapest thrill if the loneliness don't kill me Then the good times surely will I wanna stumble from the 3 speed Shout obscenities down Bloor I wanna stay the morning after Wake up on your hardwood floor If forever seems too far away I guess it's all we'll know Just counting down the days Until the winds of change they blow

Morning will break me The birdsong too sweet I cannot emerge Cannot rise to my feet Dreams captivate me But I wake to the cry Of a lonesome foghorn outside Leave me as you found me Don't terrorize this heart Leave me as you found me Just leave me and let me be I cannot imagine a life without you But you're hardly around anymore I bury my head in my pillow and weep The doomsday beat of my heart Don't leave your rubbish, your baggage behind Don't leave these thoughts in the back of my mind Dust off my heart, won't you please just be kind And let me let you go

Division 5 02:43
I went down division five local RCMP to file a missing persons report. Well, they looked me up and down then their eyes went to the ground, they burst out laughing and they showed me the door. I showed the officer my tears said, "I ain't seen her in years." and he said, "Son, do you know where she's at?" I said, "I'm pretty sure I do, at least the province and the town but she swears that she ain't never coming back." And he said, "Brother that's the deal sometimes it's over and done for real There ain't a goddamn thing the Mounties can do We get folks speeding in their cars getting way too drunk in bars But I got just the thing for a sad sack like you." He pulled out a prewar Double O, wired up in stainless steel Aimed it at my heart and took a breath "You sure you're ready for the truth because that's the ammo that I use." I said, "I am," and raise my hands and dropped my head And he sang, "Brother, that's the deal, sometimes it's over and done for real There ain't a goddamn thing the Mounties can do We get folks speeding in their cars, getting way too drunk in bars But I got just the thing for a sad sack like you.” I went down division five local RCMP to file a missing persons report. Well, they looked me up and down then their eyes went to the ground They burst out laughing and they showed me the door Said, “We ain't never seen nobody so lost before.”

about

Whitehorse Toronto, Ontario

Ethereal folk, Space Cowboy twang. Psychedelic spaghetti western. Intergalactic blues grooves. Pop noir. Since their debut in 2011, Whitehorse has evolved from magnetic folk duo to full-blown rock band. In truth, Whitehorse is never fully either one or the other, but an ever-evolving creative partnership that challenges both artists to explore new instrumental & lyrical terrain with each project. ... more
